About.
Although I got my first DSLR a few years ago, it wasn't until last year that I decided to take it off the AUTO setting and entered a world I never knew was all around me. A world of color shape and texture.
I was born in 1972 in the country side outside Montreal Quebec. I have always liked drawing as a child and in my twenties had the chance to apprentice under northwest coast master carver Dwayne Simeon for eight years.
The most important thing he tough me was that the art happens during its creation, the final product is just a left over. Being only a quarter native from out east made it hard for me to make a living once I reached the gallery level.
So I spent my thirties making a living and not making art, but something was missing and I was getting depressed. I lost my obsession to push my creative boundaries and have found it again with photography.
